Due to our growth, we are looking for a Coordinator with a background in Civil Engineering to join our Roads and Drainage team within our Infrastructure Department.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Roads and Drainage Coordinator. You will manage a team of seven, including admin and office staff based at our depot, as well as site supervisors and civil engineers.

As our Roads and Drainage Coordinator you will run our roads and drainage team and coordinate all roads and drainage operational works, including maintenance and construction activities.

We’re looking for someone who can mentor and lead our team, providing long-term strategic direction and helping grow our team.

Key Duties:

  • Manage, supervise, and direct all roads and drainage operational work areas, including both maintenance and construction activities;
  • Manage the appropriate allocation of resources in a cost-saving environment;
  • Manage and analyse complex and sensitive projects and business issues;
  • Understand team dynamics and individual personalities and adapt your leadership accordingly;
  • Anticipate community expectations and communicate progress; and
  • Adhere to the code of conduct, policies and procedures, and all WHS obligations and responsibilities, and champion these among your team.

About you

As our Roads and Drainage Coordinator you will have a background in road construction, and experience managing a team of Road Engineers. Through your experience, you will have gained some knowledge in project and contractor management, as well as being experienced in people management.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar professional qualifications
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia or eligible to apply
  • Valid construction white card
  • Valid class C driver's License.
