A bit about the role:
The role of Trainee Wastewater Treatment Operations is interesting, varied and provides staff with hands on experience and a broad understanding across all the areas of our Wastewater Treatment Plants. A major part of this role involves learning about workplace health and safety and the control of hazards identified on a site. You will support day-to-day wastewater treatment plant operation and maintenance tasks in accordance with all safety, legislative and reporting requirements. You will learn to carry out routine repairs and maintenance of water & sewer infrastructure, including general housekeeping, minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and if required, escalate repair/maintenance needs to senior team members.

About the role
Trainee Wastewater Treatment Operations is full time employment for two (2) years, and the proposed study will be a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
Fixed term: 76-hour fortnight (Term Contract - 2 years)
Salary: Based on the Local Government Award + 12% super
