A bit about the role:
The role of a Civil Construction Apprentice is interesting, varied and provides staff with hands on experience and a broad understanding across all the types of Construction and Maintenance works that Council carries out on our vast network of roads. A major part of this role involves learning about workplace health and safety and the control of hazards identified on a construction site. You will obtain competencies in operating a variety of plant and machinery.

What you can learn:
- Read, interpret and set up Traffic Control Plans
- Assist in the delivery of concrete works, roadworks and signage installation
- Develop skills in the use and maintenance of small plant and hand tools
- Understanding of WHS and PPE requirements
- How to manage your time and priorities
About the role
A Civil Construction Apprenticeship is full time employment for three (3) years, and the proposed study will be a Certificate III in Civil Construction.
Fixed term: 76-hour fortnight (Term Contract - 3 years)
Salary: Based on the Local Government Award + 12% super
