Safety Administration Officer

The primary purpose of the role is to provide efficient and effective administration support to the safety and training team. In this role you will utilise your knowledge in safety management systems and tools. 

Key Accountabilities:

·         Provide effective administrative support to the Safety team

·         Process procedures into Council information management systems   

·         Contribute to the maintenance of a bespoke incident reporting software application and provide advice to end-users

·         Assist in the review of existing processes and procedures to achieve efficiencies and effectively utilise information systems

·         Contribute to continuous improvement processes & coach, support and liase with stakeholders through safety processes

·         Exercise sound judgement, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity 

 

We are looking for 

A motivated individual with strong administration skills and a safety-first focus. You have a basic understanding of how the WHS legislation is applied in the work place and continuously look for ways to provide the best outcome for our staff and our community. You are flexible, adaptable and responsive to change and can work well within a small team and autonomously. 

We are seeking someone who has or is willing to obtain:

·      Certificate III Work Health and Safety or equivalent

·      Safework Contruction Induction Certificate (White Card)

·      Class C Driver Licence

 

About the Role

Full time: 70-hour fortnight

Salary: Range from $60,512 to $69,591 pa + 10.5% super

NOTE: As the activities of this position could involve exposure to Hepatitis A and B and Q Fever, the employee will be vaccinated against these hazards or required to provide proof of immunity against these diseases.
