Trainee Finance

Trainee + Finance = Opportunity

Richmond Valley Council has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee in Finance. This traineeship will offer you a supportive learning environment, where you will receive hands on workplace experience whilst undertaking studies in finance or accounting. The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the finance team in the delivery of key objectives.

In this role you will

• Assist the accounts payable function to ensure payments are completed within required timeframes
• Provide relief to the Creditors Coordinator during periods of absence
• Assist the accounting team with daily banking processes, including bank statement receipting, Australia Post and BPay
• Data entry of weekly internal costings including plant and gravel sheets
• Provide support to the finance team in meeting legislative requirements and monthly reconciliations 

We looking for 

• A motivated individual with exceptional attention to detail 
• A team player who is willing to be part of a supportive team
• A 'can do' attitude and the ability to learn and adapt to a changing work environment

Essential Qualifications- 

• Current Class C Driver Licence
• High School Certificate

About the Role

Full time: 70-hour fortnight

Salary: Dependent on age,skills and experience + 10.5% super
